Avengers

Happy 10th anniversary, The Avengers! (For showing here anyway.) The one I go back to most of the MCU.

Moon Knight

Moon Knight 1.01 is pretty fun once you get past the opening which yeek.

1.02 pretty much lays out what's up, chooses a moral stance, and has an invisible monster fight.

1.03 is fighty and Khonshu is a bad debater.

Layla (ft. Moon Knight) 1.04 had some very varied portrayals of mythological beings.

1.05 and I want a Taweret plushie because (a) adorable and (b) I need something to hug.

The Princess Bride

"Every chance she has to be defiant, stand her ground, and get in a good insult, she takes."

A look at Buttercup's role in The Princess Bride.

Vampire Slayer Player

I'd like to play a proper Buffy game again. Our Mage game skewed that way, obviously, but not all the way.

Cloak & Dagger

Marvel's Cloak & Dagger (trailer) premiered three years ago and I can now watch it, so I have started to, and it's good, and pretty dang grim for a show about teenage superheroes.

J notes "At least that part was true to the comic."

Gaston notes "It kind of felt like a WoD show to me."

And yeah. ;

Two kids (in New Orleans no less) empowered by something they don't understand, which doesn't make their already harsh lives any better, and might be some mystical lineage that dooms them both.

The first regular episode ends with a 3D printed voodoo doll. That's some quality Hollow One foci there.

I'll take this as a good sign for the WoD TV/film development deal with one of the show's writers and producers (who also worked on The Punisher and Constantine series) co-leading it.

Pew Pew Pew

Next game, Star Wars. Recurring villains. Emotional complications. Really big space stations blowing up.

My gaming wishlist

Inspired by Christopher Turco, games I've been wanting to play or run for ages:

Playing as opposed to running Requiem 2 and Masquerade 5, a 1920s VtM game, running a Star Wars game with the big emotional impact of the movies as well as the action...
